The museum has an eclectic collection of artifacts, maps, artwork, historical images, pioneer family history, cemetery headstone documentation, and other information relating to the Little River area as well as historical materials for the Mendocino Woodlands State Park, a registered National Historic Landmark located in the Big River watershed.
The collections are useful for genealogy, learning about early pioneer life, local natural history including wildlife of the area, and general history of the Mendocino coast.
The Museum’s collection contains information from the mouth of the Navarro River (Captain Fletcher’s Inn) through Albion and Little River.
